DESCRIPTION:Overview\nAcademia is rewarding\, but it is also demanding. T
 he pressures of research\, teaching\, publishing\, administration\, and
student support often compete for attention\, leaving little space for r
eflection or rest. Many academics find themselves working long hours\, s
truggling with boundaries\, and experiencing heightened stress as a resu
lt.\n\nThe freedom and autonomy that academic work provides can be a dou
ble-edged sword: while it allows flexibility\, it also requires intentio
nal management of time\, priorities\, and energy. This workshop encourag
es academics to develop a time management system that aligns with their
 personal values\, incentives\, and motivations—providing structure and a
ccountability to ensure that time is used deliberately\, efficiently\, a
nd in a way that supports a fulfilling and satisfying career. \n\nLearni
ng Approach\n\nDrawing on a range of experiential and interactive activi
ties\, the workshop adopts a values- and strengths-based approach to hel
p attendees identify how developing effective time management can benefi
t them within their personal research environment.\n\nIntended learning
outcomes\nWhile the exact content of the workshop will partly depend on
the needs of attendees on the day\, we aim to ensure that after attendin
g the workshop\, attendees will:\n\n- Understand they are not alone amon
g academics with their concerns and challenges that they face in managin
g their time.\n\n- Understand the three different components of time man
agement and strategies for each (i.e.\, prioritisation\, execution\, pro
crastination).\n\n- Identify and begin to develop key time management sk
ills (e.g.\, the link between goal setting and scheduling\, tracking and
  reviewing\, prioritisation\, pacing\, overcoming procrastination\, bein
g assertive)\n\n- Develop confidence and self-efficacy in themselves thr
ough improved time management.\n\n- Collaboratively network with peers t
o facilitate their time management and productivity.\n \nPlease register
