DESCRIPTION:We’re delighted that Professor Adam Briggs will be joining us
  in person on Tuesday 7th July 2026\, to share his insights as Director 
 of the NIHR Public Health Research Programme (PHR) | NIHR.\n\nThe NIHR P
 ublic Health Research (PHR) Programme funds research on non-NHS interven
 tions that can improve population health and reduce health inequalities—
 helping public health decision-makers make evidence-based choices.\n\nGi
 ven the strong alignment with UoM research into reducing health inequali
 ties and improving public health\, we’re looking to increase both the nu
 mber and the quality of our applications to the PHR Programme.\n\nThis i
 s a great opportunity for anyone considering a future PHR submission (or
  supporting one) to hear directly from the Programme Director.\n\nChaire
 d by Dr Tracey Farragher (current PHR panel member)\, the session will c
 over:\n•	PHR priority areas and what the programme is looking to fund\n•
 	What typically differentiates successful applications\n•	How the PHR Pr
 ogramme operates\n•	Practical tips for shaping your proposal and engagin
 g with the Programme\n•	Open discussion and Q&A (questions welcome in ad
 vance)\n\nColleagues from all faculties\, disciplines and career stages 
 are very welcome.\n\nWe encourage in-person attendance\, but a hybrid op
 tion will be available. Light refreshments will be served in the atrium
