 o meta-analysis- Prof Peter Bower\n\nThis session is being carried out a
 s part of STAND-Indonesia\; an NIHR funded global health research group 
 on sustainable care for depression/anxiety in Indonesia.\n \nProfessor P
 eter Bower currently leads the Centre for Primary Care and Health Servic
 es Research\, which is part of the NIHR School for Primary Care Research
 . His research focuses on mental health\, multimorbidity\, and the evalu
 ation of innovations in health service delivery.\n\nIn this session\, he
  will provide a basic introduction to meta-analysis\, exploring what it 
 is\, and why we do it during systematic reviews. Secondly\, using exampl
 e papers\, he will support attendees to work through papers to extract t
 he right data and structure it for analysis - exploring the sorts of cha
 llenges that often occur in the process. \n\nOur project builds on stron
 g partnerships between the University of Manchester\, the University of 
 Indonesia and Manchester Metropolitan University. It directly addresses 
 two research priorities identified through collaboration with local Indo
 nesian community groups. It is supported by the Indonesia Workforce Coun
 cil at the Ministry of Health\, and the Directors of Mental Health and P
 rimary Care in Indonesia. Our group aims to improve health and productiv
 ity in Indonesia by increasing the availability and accessibility of evi
 dence-based treatments for adults living with anxiety and depression.\n\
