DESCRIPTION:Title: Infinite discrete cluster categories and the index\n\n
Abstract: The “cluster category” is a categorification of the cluster al
gebra\, which has opened the door to a vast and growing branch of the th
eory of cluster algebras. To de-categorify\, one uses so-called “cluster
characters” and the “index” is a tool that helps in constructing such c
haracters. In type A\, the cluster category has a very nice geometric mo
del. These models were pushed to the infinite by Igusa–Todorov (2015) wh
en they introduced their discrete cluster categories\, and these were mo
re recently “completed” by Paquette–Yildirim (2021). In this talk\, I’ll
show how extriangulated categories (a relatively new axiomatised struct
ure) can be used to push the index to the infinite\, which we hope will
help to define corresponding cluster algebras and characters.
