DESCRIPTION:The Behaviour Change Meeting Group at The University of Manch
 ester has the purpose of bringing together academics and clinicians acro
 ss several institutes who are working with behaviour change\, interventi
 on development and/or implementation theory. We usually meet online on t
 he first Thursday of the month at 3pm\, inviting external speakers and i
 nternal speakers to discuss and gain feedback on their latest research i
 n the field. We have a range of health and clinical psychologists in the
  group as well as epidemiologists\, nurses and physiotherapists who work
  with a range of different short-term and long-term conditions in differ
 ent contexts (public\, patient and healthcare professional groups).\n\nI

 University of East Anglia presenting on <b>‘Translating counselling deli
 very from humans to an AI chatbot: an example from smoking cessation’.</
 b>\n\nFelix Naughton is a registered Health Psychologist and Professor o
 f Health Psychology at the University of East Anglia (UEA). He is co-lea
 d of the UEA Addictions Research Group and has a keen research interest 
 in the development and evaluation of digital interventions to promote an
 d support health behaviour change\, particularly innovative technology-m
 ediated approaches\, such as Just-In-Time Adaptive Interventions. He lea
 ds a research programme focused on mobile phone-based smoking cessation 
 interventions. Felix is a Fellow of the Society for Research on Nicotine
  and Tobacco (SRNT) and European Health Psychology Society (EHPS) and ha
 s served on multiple national policy and practice committees\, including
  as a topic expert on behaviour change related NICE (UK) advisory commit
