DESCRIPTION:This paper explores the relationship between care and violenc
 e through the lens of carelessness\, arguing for a more sustained theori
 sation of how they are entangled and mutually constitutive. While femini
 st\, political\, and social geographies have developed rich accounts of 
 care as an ethical relation and political project\, and geographical sch
 olarship has examined violence across intimate\, structural\, and slow r
 egisters\, these literatures can be brought into productive conversation
 s. I suggest that violence is sustained not only through direct harm\, b
 ut through forms of carelessness embedded in everyday relations\, instit
 utional arrangements\, and political–economic conditions that limit acce
 ss to care. By foregrounding carelessness as a patterned and unevenly di
 stributed condition\, the paper shows how attention to care–violence rel
 ations offers new insights into how harm is reproduced\, contested\, and
  potentially interrupted.\n\nAll welcome!
