DESCRIPTION:Join us for the next Health and Health Systems in the Global
Context (HHSGC) seminar\, bringing together researchers\, policymakers a
nd practitioners from Indonesia\, Nepal\, Uganda and Ethiopia with colle
agues from the UK and Europe. \n\nStrengthening Primary Care Across Heal
th Systems: Integration\, Equity and Sustainability\nLessons from four c
 ountries: Indonesia\, Nepal\, Uganda and Ethiopia\nWhen: Thursday 29 Oct
 ober 2026\, 13.00–16.10(registration from 12.30)\nWhere: Dalton Room\, C
TF Building\, The University of Manchester (in person)\n\nAbout this sem
inar:\nNon-communicable diseases are rising fastest in the countries lea
st equipped to absorb them\, and interventions that work in one health s
ystem rarely transfer intact to another. This seminar shares what partne
rs have learned about delivering chronic disease and mental health care
in primary care.\nThe afternoon opens with lessons from programmes under
way in the four countries. Two panels\, each bringing together voices fr
om across the partnership\, then take up the questions that follow:\n•	W
hat travels\, and what does not? When an approach succeeds in one settin
g\, what goes with it\, and what has to be rebuilt?\n•	Measuring what ma
tters. What does the evidence tell us about cost\, equity and sustainabi
lity: who benefits\, who gets missed\, and what it takes for care to con
tinue once external funding ends?\n\nProgramme:\n12.30 Registration\n13.
