Linnean Society: Irene Manton Lecture 2017
The University of Manchester in collaboration with The Linnean Society and Manchester Museum will host the 2017 Irene Manton lecture to celebrate the significant contribution made by women to the Natural Sciences.
Dr Anna Gilchrist , Lecturer in Environmental Management & Ecology will highlight how butterflies are moving through Greater Manchester and the important lessons this is providing about what we can all do to make our cities more resilient and adaptive places in the face of climate change.
Registration will take place from 3.45pm and there will be hot and cold beverages available on arrival.
The lecture is open to everyone, however we especially welcome year 11 students.
