 tory of Black Theatre\, 1827–2025: Celebrating Presence \n\n Until 30 Oc
 tober \n Glass Corridor\, Samuel Alexander Building. Open to the public 
 9am-5pm\, Monday to Friday. \n\nTo celebrate Black History Month\, this 
 exhibition explores the legacies of people of African and African-Caribb
 ean descent within Manchester’s theatre and performance history.  \n\nPr
 esented in partnership with The University of Manchester’s Drama Departm
 ent\, this exhibition draws from library\, museum and archive collection
 s including Archives+ and the Ahmed Iqbal Ullah RACE Centre in Central L
 ibrary. This exhibition celebrates the achievements of Manchester's home
 grown talent\, major artists who have performed in Manchester and the wo
 rk of venues like Contact\, Green Room\, Nia Centre and the Royal Exchan
 ge Theatre in supporting and showcasing Black excellence. \n\nThe launch
  of this exhibition will be celebrated with a launch event on Thursday 8
  October\, as part of Oxford Road Corridor’s The Cultural Welcome.
