DESCRIPTION:Join us to celebrate the findings of "Housing with care: co-p
 roducing research with older lesbian\, gay\, bisexual and trans people"\
 n\nThis is an interdisciplinary pilot research project exploring the exp
 eriences\, needs\, and aspirations of older LGBTQ people. Over the past 
 10 months\, we observed the process of co-designing Kindred House\, an e
 xtra-care housing scheme developed through a collaboration between a com
 munity steering group of older LGBTQ people and local residents\, Manche
 ster City Council\, Great Places Housing Group\, and the LGBT Foundation
 .\n\nThe pilot also co-developed a number of creative methods to better 
 understand older LGBTQ people’s experiences of housing with care. For th
 is Research Café\, we will be discussing how co-production works in prac
 tice\, and the importance of creative methods in research.\n\nWe will be
  sharing creative outcomes from the project as part of the event.\n\nRef

 n Grant\n\n\nSpeakers\nDharman Jeyasingham is a lecturer in social work\
 , working on questions of sexuality\, gender identity and place in socia
 l work and social care. His recent work has focused on older LGBTQ peopl
 e’s experiences of housing and social care.\n\nLuciana Lang is an anthro
 pologist working on questions of belonging\, sense of place\, and shared
  spaces in urban contexts. She is using ethnographic and creative method
 s to document the temporal\, material\, and affective aspects of LGBTQ h
