DESCRIPTION:If you’ve ever felt awkward during long periods of silence or
  worried about not being the expert in the room\, you’re not alone. Many
  educators share these concerns. The good news is\, you don’t need to ha
 ve all the answers—you can create an environment where your role is to f
 acilitate students’ investigation and learning. This workshop is here to
  support you with practical strategies that build confidence\, reduce st
 ress\, and help you connect with your students in meaningful ways.\n\nIn
 tended Learning Outcomes (ILOs)\n\n- Identify and summarise the concepts
  of active learning and student engagement.\n- Explain the rationale beh
 ind the value of student engagement and active learning in higher educat
 ion.\n- Define the challenges and benefits of active learning approaches
  for learners and facilitators.\n- Apply useful methodologies to diversi
 fy teaching approaches for a variety of learners.\n- Plan one (or more!)
  teaching and learning approach that you can implement to enhance studen
 t engagement. \n- Critically reflect on your experience designing\, deli
 vering and evaluating facilitative learning sessions.\n- Participants wi
 ll have an opportunity to explore underpinning educational theories\, re
 lated factors and elements\, practice the application of methodologies a
 nd create a plan to include at least one intervention in their own futur
