DESCRIPTION:Dr Sebastian Cosgrove from Keele University will be speaking 
 at the Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Catalyst (IBIC) October webin
 ar. Where he'll share some of the industrial partnerships he has underta
 ken over the years\, and why collaboration is so important to research p
 rojects. Bioprocess optimisation is a key strategy in enabling the indus
 trial translation of biocatalysis research. This talk will discuss two c
 ase studies from our group where process development was applied to indu
 strial case studies. This includes re-tasking an alcohol oxidase enzyme 
 towards the purification of an alkyl monoglucoside in partnership with C
 RODA\, and using immobilisation and continuous flow to improve the safet
 y profile and synthetic performance of a nitroreductase in collaboration
  with Johnson Matthey. This talk will discuss how industry engagement sh
 aped the projects from start to finish.
