DESCRIPTION:Bookings are open for all three termly meetings of the SEERIH
  Primary D&T Regional Network 2026–27\n\nSEERIH Primary D&T Regional Net
 work 2026–27\n\nPractical\, confidence-building professional development
  for primary teachers leading or developing Design & Technology.\n\nSEER
 IH is a specialist teacher development hub within The University of Manc
 hester.\n\n\n\nDesigned and delivered by specialist teachers from SEERIH
 \, this fully funded network offers three practical\, interactive sessio
 ns to strengthen primary D&T without adding unnecessary workload. It is 
 open to primary teachers from Greater Manchester schools. Whether you ar
 e a D&T subject lead\, ECT\, sustainability lead or class teacher\, the 
 network will support you to build confidence\, share practice and take a
 way ideas you can use in school.\n\nChoose your network\n\nThe same prog
 ramme will run in three Greater Manchester locations:\n\nCentral Manches
 ter | Bolton | Oldham\n\nThis is the page for the Central Manchester Net
 work\n\n\n\nWhat to expect\n\nThese will not be sit-and-listen sessions.
  Expect practical activities\, collaborative discussion and time to expl
 ore approaches that fit the realities of the primary classroom.\n\nAcros
 s the year\, we will explore how to make D&T manageable\, inclusive and 
 purposeful\, while giving pupils greater ownership of designing\, making
 \, testing and improving.\n\nYou will leave each session with practical 
 ideas\, useful resources and realistic next steps to take back to your s
 chool.\n\n\n\nAutumn: Making Connections\n\nD&T across the primary curri
 culum\n\nExplore what makes an activity genuinely D&T and identify where
  designing\, making\, testing and evaluating already connect with scienc
 e\, computing\, maths\, music and art.\n\n\n\nSpring: Making it Happen\n
 \nPractical Skills\, Progression and Inclusion\n\nBuild pupils’ practica
 l capability\, independence and confidence through purposeful designing 
 and making\, explicit teaching of tools and techniques\, inclusive adapt
 ations\, and safe\, progressive practice from EYFS to Year 6.\n\n\n\nSum
 mer: Designing for Thinking\n\nEvaluation\, Oracy and Assessment\n\nExpl
 ore how oracy\, evaluation and assessment can make pupils’ design thinki
 ng more visible\, supporting them to explain decisions\, respond to prob
 lems\, improve ideas and recognise progression without creating unnecess
 ary workload.\n\n\n\nWho should attend?\n\nThis network is for primary D
 &T subject leaders\, sustainability leads\, ECTs\, class teachers and an
 yone from a Greater Manchester school who is keen to strengthen primary 
 D&T.\n\nYou do not need to be a D&T specialist. Come ready to share ques
 tions\, try practical approaches and build confidence alongside other te
 achers.\n\n\n\nBook your place\n\nPlaces are fully funded for teachers f
 rom Greater Manchester schools and limited to 30 teachers at each networ
 k to keep sessions practical and interactive.\n\nAll three sessions are 
 available to book now\, so you can plan ahead for the year.\n\nBook your
