DESCRIPTION:SEERIH Primary D&T Regional Network 2026–27\nPractical\, conf
 idence-building professional development for primary teachers leading or
  developing Design & Technology.\nSEERIH is a specialist teacher develop
 ment hub within The University of Manchester.\n\nDesigned and delivered 
 by specialist teachers from SEERIH\, this fully funded network offers th
 ree practical\, interactive sessions to strengthen primary D&T without a
 dding unnecessary workload. It is open to primary teachers from Greater 
 Manchester schools. Whether you are a D&T subject lead\, ECT\, sustainab
 ility lead or class teacher\, the network will support you to build conf
 idence\, share practice and take away ideas you can use in school.\nChoo
 se your network\nThe same programme will run in three Greater Manchester
  locations:\nCentral Manchester | Bolton | Oldham\nThis is the page for 
 the Bolton Network\n\nWhat to expect\nThese will not be sit-and-listen s
 essions. Expect practical activities\, collaborative discussion and time
  to explore approaches that fit the realities of the primary classroom.\
 nAcross the year\, we will explore how to make D&T manageable\, inclusiv
 e and purposeful\, while giving pupils greater ownership of designing\, 
 making\, testing and improving.\nYou will leave each session with practi
 cal ideas\, useful resources and realistic next steps to take back to yo
 ur school.\n\nAutumn: Making Connections\nD&T across the primary curricu
 lum\nExplore what makes an activity genuinely D&T and identify where des
 igning\, making\, testing and evaluating already connect with science\, 
 computing\, maths\, music and art.\n\nSpring: Making it Happen\nPractica
 l Skills\, Progression and Inclusion\nBuild pupils’ practical capability
 \, independence and confidence through purposeful designing and making\,
  explicit teaching of tools and techniques\, inclusive adaptations\, and
  safe\, progressive practice from EYFS to Year 6.\n\nSummer: Designing f
 or Thinking\nEvaluation\, Oracy and Assessment\nExplore how oracy\, eval
 uation and assessment can make pupils’ design thinking more visible\, su
 pporting them to explain decisions\, respond to problems\, improve ideas
  and recognise progression without creating unnecessary workload.\n\nWho
  should attend?\nThis network is for primary D&T subject leaders\, susta
 inability leads\, ECTs\, class teachers and anyone from a Greater Manche
 ster school who is keen to strengthen primary D&T.\nYou do not need to b
 e a D&T specialist. Come ready to share questions\, try practical approa
 ches and build confidence alongside other teachers.\n\nBook your place\n
 Places are fully funded for teachers from Greater Manchester schools and
  limited to 30 teachers at each network to keep sessions practical and i
 nteractive.\nAll three sessions are available to book now\, so you can p
