DESCRIPTION:Our early career network meetings aim to create space for ear
 ly career researchers of 'race' and ethnicity to share experiences and i
 nsights\, and to create connections.\n\nIn this meeting we will host an 
 interactive workshop that recognises the emotional labour involved in re
 searching racial injustice\, particularly in the current social and poli
 tical climate\, and offers a space to pause\, reflect\, and reconnect wi
 th positive possibilities.\n\nIn small groups participants will discuss 
 their research topics and identify a central story or narrative from the
 ir work that they want to disrupt. They will identify an imagined ‘posit
 ive future’ where their research problem no longer exists. They will exp
 lore what changed socially to enable this positive future to emerge\, wh
 o led the transformation\, what institutions disappeared or transformed\
 , and what was rebuilt in their place. Using creative mediums such as co
 llage\, LEGO\, mind-mapping / sketching\, or AI image generation\, each 
 participant will document the change that took place accompanied by a fu
 ture news headline\, or a scene from everyday life that sums up their re
 -imagined positive future.\n\nThe workshop ends with a networking lunch.
