 ng concern in the Peak District due to their impacts on air quality\, pu
 blic health and ecosystems. Climate change is expected to increase the r
 isk of more frequent and intense fire events\, making it important to un
 derstand their causes and impacts.   Join us for a free online talk expl
 oring how a network of air quality sensors across the Peak District is h
 elping us better understand the impacts of upland fires on local air qua
 lity.  This event is open to everyone\, including local residents and an
 yone with an interest in the Peak District\, air quality and fires. It i
 s led by researchers from the University of Sheffield\, Sheffield Hallam
  University\, the University of Manchester and the University of Notting
 ham.  The talk will introduce the FireUp sensor network\, which uses low
 -cost sensors across the Peak District to measure air pollution. We will
  share key findings from the project\, discuss what we have learned abou
 t air quality in the region\, and explain how air pollution episodes can
  be linked to fire events.  We will also introduce the Peak Fire Reporte
 r app\, a new tool designed to improve the recording of fires in the Pea
 k District\, including both wildfires and controlled burns. The app enab
 les members of the public to report fire events\, helping to improve our
  understanding of when and where fires occur\, as well as their characte
 ristics and impacts.  There will be opportunities to ask questions\, pro
 vide feedback on the network and app\, and hear about future research an
 d opportunities to get involved.  During the event\, we will:  Present f

 sensors can be used to monitor air quality Demonstrate the Peak Fire Rep
 orter app and how you can get involved Discuss future plans for the proj
