DESCRIPTION:Service-learning is defined as “a form of experiential educat
 ion in which students engage in activities that address human and commun
 ity needs\, together with structured opportunities for reflection to ach
 ieve desired learning outcomes. “ (Jacoby 1996) Furco (1996) differentia
 tes it from other types of experiential learning “by their intention to 
 equally benefit the provider and the recipient of the service as well as
  to ensure equal focus on both the service being provided and the learni
 ng that is occurring. Lim and Babar (2016) highlighted the importance of
  service learning in education of health professionals. They recognised 
 this as an integral tool for students\; with an opportunity for inter pr
 ofessional learning\, experiential learning\, developing skills at manag
 ing complexity and understanding the local community better. Allied orga
 nisations also benefited\, with the opportunity to collaborate and netwo
 rk with academic institutions. What is Service Learning?\n\nWhy is this
