Falling in Love with Insects
Thursday 13 February, 6-9 pm
Catch the bug and share the love. Meet conservationists, scientists and artists passionate about protecting insects and their environments. See amazing insects from our collections and find out how they live with the Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside. Discuss why insects are so important for other animals with our vivarium team and the RSPB. Meet artist Sheila Tilmouth and find out more about the inspiration for her beautiful dragonfly mural.
There will also be a demo of Release, an augmented reality experience
that makes the butterflies in the exhibition come to life, using digital
artworks sketched in virtual reality by artist Jacki Clark.
