This focal event is dedicated to exploring innovative approaches to teaching and learning in biology, medicine, and health sciences. The event will open with an introductory keynote speech from the newly appointed Vice Dean for Teaching, Learning and Students, Professor Jennifer Hallam. We look forward to a day filled with insightful discussions, learning, and collaboration.
The Symposium will cover a diverse range of topics aimed at enhancing our teaching practices, including but not limited to:
- The integration of Artificial Intelligence in teaching
- Active Learning (Digital Discovery Training)
- Virtual Reality (VR) higher education simulation training
- Implementing Team-Based Learning to foster collaboration
- How to design sustainability projects
- Introduction to Canvas Studio
Complimentary lunch will be provided to all attendees, allowing for networking and informal discussions throughout the day.
There will be parallel workshops in the morning and afternoon sessions. These are designed to provide practical insights into the application of these new teaching approaches. You are encouraged to register for one workshop in each session to maximise your learning opportunities.
