About the event:
The Manchester Cardiovascular Society is proud to present its first event of the year, featuring two excellent speakers from the fields of fetomaternal medicine and paediatrics. A revision opportunity and not one to miss for students currently on the Families and Children module. This event is also open to all students with an interest in cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery and vascular surgery.
Dr Sarah Vause is a consultant in fetomaternal medicine at Saint Mary's Hospital with a special interest in high risk obstetric care and cardiac disease in pregnancy. Her part of the talk will focus on significant issues pertaining to obstetric care from a mixed cardiac and obstetric point of view.
Dr Sameer Misra is a consultant paediatrician at Bolton Royal Hospital with a special interest in paediatric cardiology and medical education. His part of the talk will concentrate on common cardiac presentations in paediatric care and consider appropriate management plans.
The talk is set to begin at 7pm on 23 November at the MRI Phase II Lecture Theatre. Please try to arrive by 6.45pm for a prompt start.
Please register your attendance on Eventbrite. The event will be FREE for members of the society and £1 only for non-members that can be paid on the door.
Membership will also be available on the night.
