DESCRIPTION:\nThe UK Data Service holds the UK’s largest collection of re
 search data. This introductory workshop is for anyone with an interest i
 n social research who wants to hear about the vast array of resources we
  offer.\n\nParticipants will learn about the different types of quantita
 tive and qualitative data we hold\, how to find those data collections u
 sing our online resource discovery tools and how to register to access d
 atasets in a number of different formats. We will also demonstrate how s
 ome of our data collections can be viewed and analysed online\, as well 
 as providing an overview of our support and training resources for stude
 nts\, researchers and teachers.\n\nThis free online workshop will consis
 t of an interactive presentation with time for questions at the end.\n\n
 Presenters: Sammie Ife and Tracey Tiller\n\nWe will be using Mentimeter 
 to ask questions in this workshop\, so you may benefit from having a sec
 ond device ready for this\, such as a smartphone.
