A mini drama of an epic story.

Based on a true story of a Gurkha knife on display in a shop in Deansgate, Manchester in 1915 we journey to Holland, South Africa, Nepal and India celebrating unseen heroic characters and stories in times of war. Written and performed by Anjum Malik, multi-lingual poet, scriptwriter and teacher of creative writing. Part of Manchester Central Library's First World War commemorations.

This is an Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Education Trust project, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and supported by Arts Council England, Manchester Metropolitan University and Cartwheel Arts.
