DESCRIPTION:NCRM is delighted to bring you the 2021 Research Methods e-Fe
 stival in collaboration with methods@manchester. Held on 25-29 October 2
 021\, the event will be a celebration of research methods with an interd
 isciplinary social science flavour. There will be more than 80 sessions 
 run over five days\, with more than 130 speakers offering diverse perspe
 ctives on the festival’s theme: innovation\, adaptation and evolution of
  the social sciences.\n\nThe e-festival will be 100 per cent web based a
 nd hosted on a dedicated interactive platform\, where attendees can join
  sessions via live video streams\, take part in community discussions an
 d network with other guests.\n\nFESTIVAL PROGRAMME\nThe packed e-festiva
 l programme features sessions in eight different categories\, including:
  workshops\, expert clinics\, panel discussions\, “what is?” talks\, key
 note presentations\, webinars and “in conversation” discussions.\n\nOur 
 keynote speakers are: Professor Trisha Greenhalgh (University of Oxford)
 \, Professor Noshir Contractor (Northwestern University)\, Dr Ash Watson
  (University of New South Wales) and Amos Toh (Human Rights Watch).\n \n
 REGISTRATION\nTo register for the e-festival\, attendees can purchase a 
 festival pass for a flat fee of £10. This will give access to all sessio
 ns held over the five days of the event (excluding short courses).\n\nAc
 cess to the online event platform\, Whova\, will be possible from 1 Octo
 ber\, enabling attendees to network and join discussions before the e-fe
 stival begins on 25 October. When the platform opens\, a notification wi
 ll be sent to participants with information on how to log in and sign up
  for sessions. Please note\, pre-booking will be required for capacity-l
 imited workshops and clinics.\n\nA limited number of free tickets for th
 e e-festival are available. The application deadline is 8 October.\n \nP
 OSTER COMPETITION\nA video poster competition will be run during the eve
 nt and expressions of interest are now being accepted. The deadline for 
 submitting expressions of interest is 7 October\, while the video submis
 sion deadline is 15 October.\n\nThe best 10 submitted posters will be li
 ve streamed on the Wednesday of the e-festival (27 October) and particip
 ants will be invited to vote on their favourite. A prize of £100 in Amaz
 on vouchers will be given to the most popular.\n\nSHORT COURSES\nA serie
 s of three short courses will run alongside the e-festival. Participants
  who would like to attend these events must register for their chosen co
 urse(s). There is a separate for charge each course. Registration for an
 y of these courses will include a free festival pass.\n\nThe three cours
 es are:\nAvant-garde and arts-based methods in qualitative research (two
  half days)\nInstitutional Ethnography: Conducting feminist\, interdisci
 plinary & bottom-up research (four half days)\nGetting creative with not
 e taking and presentations (two half days)\n
