Join MUMS Opera for their performance of Victoria Bond’s Mrs. President, an opera detailing the life of Victoria Woodhull, the first woman to run for President of the United States in 1872. In a production that incorporates students from all years, the opera displays poignant themes of empowerment and optimism interplayed expertly with entrancing music, depicting the struggles faced by Woodhull in her bid for presidency. Although a story of corruption, agony, and lust, it is her timeless vision of equality that shines through, creating an immersive and meaningful experience for all.
