Title: Decomposable Specht modules for level 2 cyclotomic KLR algebras
Abstract: Specht modules are an important family of modules that govern the representation theory for the symmetric group and its related Hecke algebras. In this talk, I will give a brief overview of the decomposability of these representations for the symmetric group and its Hecke algebra deformation. One large family of decomposable Specht modules are those indexed by hook partitions. We study the natural analogue of these Specht modules for the Hecke algebra of type B: Specht modules indexed by a pair of hook partitions, known as a bihook. In previous work with Liron Speyer, we determined the decomposability of large families of these Specht modules from the perspective of level 2 cyclotomic Khovanov-Lauda-Rouquier algebras. I will present ongoing joint work with Robert Muth and Liron Speyer that builds on these results, in which we study the explicit structure of these decomposable Specht modules indexed by bihooks. In particular, we obtain a classification for the semisimple Specht modules indexed by bihooks.
