DESCRIPTION:This performance is part of the Sexuality Summer School (SSS)
 \, organised annually since 2008 by the Centre for the Study of Sexualit
 y and Culture (CSSC). The SSS brings international scholars and artists 
 to Manchester for a series of public events that run alongside its progr
 amme of postgraduate workshops.\n\nRUFF is renowned performer’s Peggy Sh
 aw’s tribute to those who have kept her company these 68 years\, a lamen
 t for the absence of those who disappeared into the dark holes left behi
 nd by her stroke in 2011 and a celebration that her brain is able to fil
 l the blank green screens with new insights.\n\nRUFF will be followed by
  a post-show Q&A called ‘Ask the Doctor’\, with local stroke clinician D
 r Khalil Kawafi\, when guests will have the opportunity to ask questions
  about stroke.\n\nSponsored by Science Stroke Art 2014.
