Further details:
Diabetes policy advocates greater patient involvement in care with the aim of improving outcomes. Routine diabetes care is often carried out by nurses in pre-booked reviews. We have video recorded nurse consultations with patients in east London who are attending for a
periodic review of their diabetes and its management. This paper
will present qualitative analysis of how patients and nurses discuss behaviour change and goal setting.
