DESCRIPTION:I will present zebrafish epiboly as a model for the mechanica
 l analysis of morphogenesis and show that the overall biomechanics of th
 e process\, which depends on actomyosin contractility and endocytosis\, 
 is regulated by JNK signaling. Further I will discuss briefly how JNK si
 gnaling can also affect the mechanics of other morphogenetic processes a
 nd comment on the condensation of the embryonic CNS of Drosophila.
