DESCRIPTION:10am – 1pm\n\nEver wanted to take your camera off the auto se
 tting and see how you can be in more control of the images you make and 
 be able to explore more creative options? In our introduction we will ex
 plain the functions and relationships of the key controls you have avail
 able when in “Manual” mode\, looking at how you can work with concepts s
 uch as the depth of field and extending your exposure times for creative
  effect. We will make use of the gardens and key features of the Jodrell
  Bank site to practice some of the techniques and with a small group siz
 e there will be time and space for everyone to develop their skills.\n\n
 This ability to control your camera is key to many areas of photography 
 such as astrophotography\, wildlife and sports.\n\nThe workshop is lead 
 by Dr Anthony Holloway\, a member of the staff at Jodrell Bank Observato
 ry who has won awards for his photography and holds the distinction of A
 rtiste of the Federation Internationale de L’ Art Photographique.\n\nYou
  will require your own camera with full manual controls.\nOutdoor clothi
 ng and waterproof footwear is advisable.\nThis is a 3 hour workshop and 
 hot drinks will be provided.\nThere are two workshop dates to choose fro
 m.\n\nSunday 24th November and Sunday 12th January
