DESCRIPTION:Facilitated by Dr Natalie Cunningham\n\nThe development space
is experiencing turbulent times\, with practitioners under more pressur
e than ever to achieve great things\, often with dwindling resources.\n\
nThe institutions in which we conduct this work can significantly impact
our ability to stay resilient in the face of challenges. While some peo
ple may feel their sense of identity or purpose is threatened in institu
tions that don’t share their values\, others may long for safe spaces wh
ere they can voice their worries. So\, how can we transform organisation
s that are resistant to change? Is it possible for practitioners to infl
uence decision-makers within their organisations to embrace new initiati
ves and goals?\n\nThis session represents the second in a series of onli
ne communities of practice (CoPs) where practitioners can share concerns
\, ideas\, feelings\, and advice about building and maintaining resilien
ce.\n\nIn the last session\, we discussed personal resilience\, a summar
y of which you can read on the GDI blog: https://blog.gdi.manchester.ac.
 uk/what-challenges-do-development-practitioners-face-when-developing-the
ir-personal-resilience/\n\nAll are welcome to join the next session\, wh
ether or not you’ve joined a previous session. Do spread the word!\n\nJo
