In a world where adults think they know what’s best, is banning social media the answer to improving everyone’s mental health? Do they really understand how young people use and experience social media?
Social media and Me is a stall being run by the #So.Me team as part of the Festival of Social Science Activity Trail at Salford Museum & Art Gallery. We'll be on the trail from 10-11:30am, as a space for young people to be part of the conversation about social media and mental health, and have their say.
We're inviting young people to come and share their thoughts:
Why do you use social media and what effect does it have on you?
What role does social media play in your everyday life?
What would you change to make social media better?
This 90 minute drop-in activity stall is for young people aged 11-18. It includes creative activities (e.g., creating visual representations of social media, designing a new social media platform).
