 dmark volume! Followed by a wine reception \n\nThe Routledge Handbook of
  Trans Literature examines the intersection of transgender studies and l
 iterary studies\, bringing together essays from global experts in the fi
 eld. This volume provides a comprehensive overview of trans literature\,
  highlighting the core topics\, genres\, and periods important for schol
 arship now and in the future. The nearly 600-page volume covers a dazzli
 ng array of topics and genres of literature. This comprehensive volume w
 ill be of great interest to scholars and students of literature\, gender
  studies\, trans studies\, literary theory\, and literary criticism.\n\n
 We will hear from one of the book's co-editors Dr. Sabine Sharp (Manches
 ter)\, along with three international contributors. See below for full b
 ios.\n\n---\n\nLenka Filipova (she/her) completed her doctorate in Engli
 sh Studies at Freie Universität Berlin. Recent publications include Ecoc
 riticism and the Sense of Place (Routledge 2021)\, and a contribution to
  The Routledge Handbook of Ecofeminism and Literature. She has forthcomi
 ng chapters and articles on 18th-century travel writing\, narratives of 
 oil and gender\, animal studies\, and the Blue Humanities. She is curren
 tly at work on her postdoctoral project on “material fictions” in litera
 ry and cultural narratives in the global 18th century. \n\nEsteban F. Ló
 pez-Medina (they\, them\, their) is a primary teacher: specialist in Eng
 lish\, BA in Religious Studies\, BA in English Studies\, and PhD in Femi
 nist and Gender Studies. He has worked as a teacher in all stages\, from
  Early Childhood Education to University\, teaching different subjects s
 uch as English and history in English\, in Spain and Argentina. Associat
 e lecturer at Universidad Complutense de Madrid Faculty of Education sin
 ce 2015\, he has later worked at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2020-20
 21)\, Universidad a Distancia de Madrid (2021-2022)\, Valencian Internat
 ional University (since 2020)\, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (since
  2021)\, the University of California Education Abroad Program (since 20
 22)\, and Instituto Franklin of Universidad de Alcalá (since 2023). He f
 ocuses his research on queer multimodal representation in educational re
 sources in general\, and EFL and CLIL materials in particular. He also s
 erves as a reviewer for different journals\, and belongs to the editoria
 l board of The Professional Educator Journal (Auburn University\, Alabam
 a)\, in the section of Critical Studies in Education.\n\nEamon Schlotter
 back is a doctoral candidate in literature at Northeastern University st
 udying transgender literature and theory. Her dissertation project atten
 ds to the radical potential for self-creation in life writing by trans a
 uthors. She has previously worked at Signs: Journal of Women in Culture 
 and Society and the Digital Transgender Archive. Her work has appeared i
 n Digital Humanities Quarterly and Insurrect! Radical Thinking in Early 
 American Studies.\n\nSabine Sharp is a scholar of trans and science fict
 ion studies. In March 2021\, they completed a PhD titled “Monsters\, Tim
 e-Travel\, and Aliens: Tracing the Genealogies of ‘Trans’ through Femini
 st Science Fiction Writing and Film\,” in the English and American Studi
 es department of the University of Manchester. Sabine has taught undergr
 aduate courses on literature\, film\, and criticism with a focus on femi
 nist\, queer\, trans\, and critical race theories. Between 2016 and 2023
 \, they organized the University of Manchester’s Sexuality Summer School
 \, a week of postgraduate events on queer and feminist debates. Alongsid
 e developing new writing on trans science fiction\, they work as an e-le
 arning support officer at the University of Manchester Library.\n
