This Black History Month join us on Friday 5 October at the University of Manchester for the Global Black Freedom Movements symposium. This event brings together leading scholars in the fields of African Diaspora, African American, and Black British history to deliver presentations on 20th century movements for racial change in the United Kingdom and the United States. The symposium is structured around two conference-style panels (1:30-3:00pm and 3:30-5:00pm) in Room G.19 of the Mansfield Cooper Building.
This event is part of Black History Month Greater Manchester 2018 and is organised by the Race, Roots & Resistance Collective with support from the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures at the University of Manchester.
