DESCRIPTION:Tuesday Talks invites leading artists\, thinkers and curators
  to explore the driving forces\, influences and sources of inspiration w
 ithin contemporary art.\nThe series is a collaboration between the Whitw
 orth and Manchester Metropolitan University and is programmed by Pavel B
 üchler.\n\nTuesday 20 November – Athanasios Argianas\n\nThe Greek artist
  and musician Athanasios Argianas works primarily in sculpture\, alongsi
 de text\, projection and other media. His delicately crafted works often
  transform sonic material into a physical form or combine objects\, perf
 ormance and sound. Equally often they indirectly reference the design ae
 sthetics of constructivist art and the compositional methods of 20th cen
 tury experimental music. Argianas studied at the Art Academy in Düsseldo
 rf and completed his studies at Goldsmiths College\, London. He has exhi
 bited internationally\, including solo exhibitions at the National Museu
 m of Contemporary Art Athens\, The Serpentine Gallery\, London.\n\n
