DESCRIPTION:The 8th Annual Workshop on Advances in X-ray Imaging is a col
 laboration between The University of Manchester at Harwell\, 3Dmaginatio
 n Ltd and the Collaborative Computational Project in Tomographic Imaging
  (CCPi) with the aim of bringing together scientists from different fiel
 ds to discuss developments and applications of a variety of X-Ray imagin
 g and complementary techniques\, and to build international collaboratio
 ns.  The topic of this year’s conference will focus on correlative imagi
 ng techniques (coupling X-rays\, neutrons\, diffraction\, electron micro
 scopy)\, 4D in situ imaging (X-ray tomography)\, Big Data/Machine learni
 ng and quantification of data (advanced image processing\, in situ strai
 n mapping\, modelling).  \n\nThe workshop will be opened by Professor Ja
 yne Lawrence\, Director\, The University of Manchester at Harwell\, foll
 owed by presentations from national and international speakers\, present
 ing a variety of complementary imaging techniques.\n\nAttendees are invi
 ted to bring a poster to be displayed throughout the workshop which will
  be judged by the scientific organising committee and prizes awarded to 
 the three best posters.\n\nPLEASE NOTE THIS IS AN IN-PERSON EVENT ONLY.
