 ed mental health nurse and completed his part-time PhD in 1999 using a g
 rounded theory methodology. Prior to this\, he practised for several yea
 rs as a community psychiatric nurse in dementia care\, a position he hel
 d in North Wales.  Since 2006 John has worked at the University of Manch
 ester where he holds a joint position between the University and the Gre
 ater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. John currently 
 leads the inter-disciplinary Dementia and Ageing Research Team at the Sc

 erned with the biographical and subjective experience of dementia and he

 the clinical co-lead for MAHSC’s mental health domain and DeNDRoN North 
 West’s Dementia Research Director. She provides clinical leadership for 
 dementia studies in the Network and is responsible for overseeing the de
 velopment and delivery of a balanced portfolio of dementia studies. In a
 ddition to her work with dementia\, Dr. Leroi lectures for the British G
 eriatrics Society's Parkinson's Disease Academy and was a Deputy Mental 
 Health representative on the NICE Parkinson's guidelines committee. In 2
 006\, she was awarded a Senior Research Fellowship with the PDS to study
  the neural and clinical correlates of disorders of reward and motivatio
