 University of Manchester\n\nWelcome to The University of Manchester Envi
 ronment and Health Symposium!\n\nJoin the Manchester Environmental Resea
 rch Institute and Sustainable Futures for engaging discussions and insig
 htful presentations on work that focuses on the intersection of health a
 nd the environment. This in-person event will be held on Thursday 13th J
 une 2024 in Room 3.44A in the Simon Building.\n\nHealth and well-being a
 re intimately linked to the state of the environment. At The University 
 of Manchester\, we have lots of early career researchers working on issu
 es relating to the environment and its effect on health\, but they are s
 pread across faculties\, schools\, and departments.\n\nThrough attending
  this event you will:\n\nDevelop a deeper understanding of the range of 
 research happening at the University of Manchester in the area of ‘envir
 onment and health’\nBuild connections with fellow researchers working in
  complementary areas\nHave the opportunity to showcase your research to 
 your peers\nThe focus of this event is to bring the Early Career Researc
 her (ECR) community together but we welcome\, and encourage staff at all
  levels to attend.\n\nThis event will provide a great opportunity to sha
 re your research and network with fellow ECRs in the field. Don't miss o
 ut on this chance to learn about the ongoing research and initiatives ad
 dressing this critical issue. See you there!\n\nHow can you get involved
 ?\nThe event is going to be a combination of talks\, lightning sessions 
 and a poster session with plenty of time for networking.\n\nEarly Career
  Researchers*\nWe are inviting posters and lightning talks from ECRs on 
 any topic related to the following themes: the impact of pollution on he
 alth\, the impact of climate change on health and the impact of green sp
 ace on health.\n\nYou can express interest in presenting a lightning tal
 k\, bringing along a poster to display\, or both options.\n\nIf you are 
 interested in displaying a poster or providing a lightening talk at the 
 symposium please fill out the form linked here (https://tinyurl.com/4exa
 vff6) by Wednesday 1 May 2024 (23:59 BST).\n\nWe will also be considerin
 g posters and talks from ECRs whose research fits more broadly with the 
 theme of ‘environment's effect on health’ so we encourage you to submit.
 \n\nSupervisors and academics\nPlease attend and support ECRs participat
 ion and attendance at the event. By doing this you will be helping to de
 velop a connected and interdisciplinary research community.\n\n*An Early
  Career Researcher is an individual employed in a non-permanent research
  position\, or someone holding a fellowship or junior academic post who 
 has less than 8 years of post-doctoral research experience
