DESCRIPTION:ScienceGrrl inaugural “Because Science is for Everyone” publi
 c lecture\n\nProfessor Brian Cox’s lecture will cover our current knowle
 dge of Particle Physics and the questions that remain to be answered\, a
 t a level suitable for GCSE and above.\n\nDr Heather Williams\, Director
  of ScienceGrrl\, will introduce the lecture and describe how an underst
 anding of fundamental particle physics underpins her own field of physic
 s\, in Nuclear Medicine.\n\nThere will be a short time for questions aft
 erwards.\n\nThe lecture is a fund-raising event - half the proceeds will
  go to ScienceGrrl\, half to the University of Manchester’s Widening Par
 ticipation Bursary Scheme.\n\nWe are grateful to Prof Brian Cox for dona
 ting his time and to the Ogden Trust  who sponsoring the event. All the 
 ticket proceeds will go to help fund our work in raising the profile of 
 female scientists and enabling them to connect with and inspire young pe
 ople to follow in their footsteps.\n\nThe lecture is open to everyone\, 
 but is designed for ages 15+.\n\nThis event is organised by ScienceGrrl.
