"Despite the elaborate nature of plants and the amazing diversity of plant form, plants developments is a process of differential growth composed of cell division and cell expansion. Plant cell may be very large and expand massively following development. The direction of cell expansion is critical for normal growth. Microtubules have an essential role in organising this cell expansion. The talk will cover how microtubule severing and it regulation by microtubule binding proteins are critical for microtubule organisation, why knowing this is important and how it might be exploited in the future."
