 Olympics is one of our age's iconic images. To celebrate its 50th annive
 rsary\, The University of Manchester's School of Social Sciences and the
  Runnymede Trust are delighted to welcome Tommie Smith to Manchester.\n\
 nAs our sixth 'Arthur Lewis Lecture'\, we will be screening a short docu
 mentary about the event and its aftermath\, followed by a discussion bet
 ween Tommie Smith and Michelle Moore - winner of the 2016 UK Precious Aw
 ard for 'Outstanding Woman in Sport’ and a consultant\, educator\, strat
 egist and former athlete.\nAfter the discussion\, there will be an oppor
 tunity for Q&A from the audience and\, from around 8pm\, a short recepti
 on in the foyer where wine and non-alcoholic drinks will be available.\n
