This exhibition displays 50 entries from picture diaries made by Japanese primary school children in 1944-1945. It gives a vivid insight into the school lives of Japanese children near the end of World War Two. English translations and explanation are provided.

Organiser by Dr Peter Cave (Japanese Studies, SALC) and Dr Aaron Moore (History, SALC) The exhibition is subsidised by the Japan Foundation.
