DESCRIPTION:This training is part of the Doctoral Academy Training Progra
 mme which aims to provide postgraduate research students with the necess
 ary skills and knowledge to make the most their doctoral degrees.\n\nThi
 s course aims to help you write clear\, grammatically accurate and well-
 organised academic and scientific English. A major focus of the course w
 ill be on the language used to express the main communicate functions us
 ed at all levels of academic writing in the biological sciences. In addi
 tion\, some sessions will explore certain common features of the researc
 h report.\n\nThe course will run every week on Tuesdays during term time
  at 16:30 - 18:00 in the Postgraudate Hub Training Room in the Stopford 
 Building. Lois Gale from the University Language Centre will deliver eac
