Embedded in movement technologies such as connected autonomous vehicles and urban systems such as city brains, artificial intelligences have begun to colonise and reshape fields of relations which underpin everyday life in cities. Such profound spatial developments are far from obvious. As urban AIs are seemingly everywhere and nowhere, the terrain of urban AI and their effects are somewhat opaque with crucially, the redistribution of human and mechanic agency masked. Research has only just begun to address these concerns. Among other things, conceptual apparatus is desperately needed to better govern constituencies of human and non-human actors such as AI in cites.
