Will Fitzgerald (University of Manchester) will speak in the Probability seminar.
The real eigenvalues of certain non-Hermitian random matrices, the real zeroes of Gaussian power series and the particles of coalescing/annihilating particles systems all share a common property of being Pfaffian point process. We will describe this and how it leads to various tail asymptotics.
