DESCRIPTION:As part of the celebrations for 50 years of Sociology at Manc
 hester\, this event offers a chance to engage with some of the key theme
 s and characters of the Morgan Centre.\nWe will have semi-autobiographic
 al reflections on the changing sociology of personal life and relationsh
 ips from David Morgan and Carol Smart and take a look at recent and curr
 ent research at the Morgan Centre. We will also be launching some exciti
 ng new books and running sessions on 'new' families and kinship\, shared
  living and belonging and affinities. Do come and join in the conversati
