 ato\n\nElena Volpato is an art historian and curator of contemporary art
  at GAM\, Civic Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Turin\, where 
 she founded the first public collection of artists videos in Italy. She 
 has curated numerous important exhibitions and has taught\, among others
 \, at the art academies in Ravenna and Milan. In her talk she will draw 
 on her most recent project\, a comprehensive survey of over one hundred 
 books and manuscript diaries by Dieter Roth presented at Turin's interna
 tional art book fair FLAT last autumn. Twenty years after the artist's d
 eath the exhibition and the accompanying book reflect the vitality of Ro
 th’s prolific oeuvre and testify to the lasting importance of work that 
 continues to be an inexhaustible source of inspiration for contemporary 
 artists.
