As part of the School of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science School Seminar Series, we'll be welcoming Dr Karl Travis from the University of Sheffield, on Monday 25 March, titled “Deep Borehole Disposal – a potentially safer, cheaper and faster long-term solution for nuclear waste?"
Dr Karl Travis is a Reader in Computational Physics and Nuclear Waste Disposal in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Sheffield with research interests in alternative disposal concepts for nuclear waste, behaviour of materials under extreme conditions as well as simulation of fluid transport properties.
Refreshments will be served from 10:30, and the seminar will commence at 11:00, in The Mill room C63/64.
