DESCRIPTION:The Behaviour Change Meeting Group at The University of Manch
 ester has the purpose of bringing together academics and clinicians acro
 ss several institutes who are working with behaviour change\, interventi
 on development and/or implementation theory. We usually meet online on t
 he first Thursday of the month at 3pm\, inviting external speakers and i
 nternal speakers to discuss and gain feedback on their latest research i
 n the field. We have a range of health and clinical psychologists in the
  group as well as epidemiologists\, nurses and physiotherapists who work
  with a range of different short-term and long-term conditions in differ
 ent contexts (public\, patient and healthcare professional groups).\n\nI

 \n\nOur next Behaviour Change Meeting will be held on Thursday 6th Novem
 ber October 2025 at 3pm\, where we have <b>Mai Haiba</b> presenting on <
 b>‘FAMily based weight loss for breast cancer risk reduction (FAM-BCR)\,
  an intervention feasibility study protocol’</b>\n\nMai Haiba is a final
 -year PhD candidate in the Division of Cancer Sciences at the University
  of Manchester\, a medical doctor and a dietitian with an MSc in Public 
 Health Nutrition. Her research focuses on developing and testing a famil
 y-based weight loss intervention for mothers with overweight or obesity 
 who are at increased risk of breast cancer. She is passionate about wome
 n’s and family health and aims to translate behaviour change evidence in
 to real-world weight management and cancer prevention practice.\n\n[http
