Understanding IP management, when to commercialize and engage industry
This event will provide training and advice on how to understand and identify IP, through to realising the commercial impact of the products, processes or services from their research, how to engage with industry in this process and funding opportunities available.
Training is being delivered by TRUSTECH and UMIP in collaboration and focuses on outputs that are across the clinical-academic interface. Examples of successful working with industry in both academic and clinical settings and what funding may be available to support the involvement of industry in your research will be covered by the NIHR Clinical Research Network and the University of Manchester Business Engagement team.
Key learning outcomes: How to identify IP at an early stage, who to contact about its protection, development and translation, how to work with industry to take your research to the next level and what funding opportunities are available.
