PhilChat is a conference for undergrads, aimed at promoting the voices of underrepresented groups in philosophy. The conference ran last year for the first time, to great success. This year it will be taking place on Friday 28th April, 12-5pm, in the Arthur Lewis Building Boardroom 2nd floor.
The conference will consist of three talks, on the following topics: Philosophy and Race (Prof. Brian Klug, Oxford), Women in Philosophy (Dr. Frederique Janssen-Lauret, Manchester), and Epistemic Injustice (Leonie Smith). There will also be a workshop on postgraduate study, where students will be able to ask questions/voice concerns.
Everyone is welcome to attend, and a free lunch and post conference buffet will be provided for attendees.
This event is sponsored by the Marc Sanders Foundation and The University of Manchester.
